Welcome to Larry Huiras

I am happy to be able to introduce you to Larry Huiras, the newly appointed Director of Stauros, U.S.A.

Let me tell you a little bit about the process through which I met Larry.  When the Stauros Board of Directors decided that this is a time for new leadership at Stauros, the Board asked me to form a Search Committee for a new Executive Director.  Several candidates applied for the position.  All were exceptionally well qualified, as a matter of fact, so qualified that the Search Committee arrived at a point system to rate the candidates.  Larry was our choice.

Larry brings a rich background of life experiences to Stauros.  Larry shares the joy of parenthood with his wife, Patti.  He was a successful entrepreneur and business man.  Beginning his ministerial journey as a volunteer in Youth Ministry, Larry continued his formation returning to school and receiving a Masters in Religious Education.  Besides directing Stauros Larry continues his education and is currently working on his Doctorate in Education with an emphasis on electronic media as a tool for religious learning.  He believes Christianity has not failed; it has not even been tried.  He would like to let people know about it.  His personal goals and the Stauros Mission are congruent.  Stauros will find in Larry skill and talent, both personally and professionally, that meet like hand and glove.

On behalf of all of us, welcome aboard, Larry.
