Executive Director's Column

by Ardis Cloutier, OSF

Welcome to the first issue of the revised format for the Stauros Notebook. We will continue to have a lead article although it will very likely be considerably shorter. It will usually reflect the topic chosen as the focus for the year. We plan to continue the practice of having a theological response to the lead article as well. New features include The President's Column and The Executive Director's Column.

The Board of Directors endorsed a revised policy regarding announcements and advertisements in the Notebook. Such announcements and/or advertisements will be published provided that the Mission Statement of the sponsoring organization is in accord with the mission of Stauros. Sponsoring organizations are asked to submit their copy together with a copy of their Mission Statement. The Stauros Editorial Board will review all such Mission Statements and will make the final decision regarding publication of announcements or advertisements.

Finally, it is our hope that each issue will include Letters to the Editor. We look forward to receiving your comments about the revised format, about the lead article, about the direction of Stauros.

I wish each of you a grace-filled Lenten season and a glorious and Happy Easter.
